Denmark: DPP politician retracts Nazi-Muslim comparison

Via BT (Danish):

Two years ago DPP politician Mogens Camre said in an interview with Dutch broadcaster Nederland 2 that the Nazi occupation soldiers were better behaved than the Muslim youth in Denmark today.

The interview recently surfaced, causing a political storm and threatening Camre's membership in the DPP. The issue was resolved by a press release from the DPP where the party announced that Camre retracts his statements.

According to the press release, Camre recognizes that the comparison can cause misunderstanding about the Nazi occupation of Denmark in 1940-1945, and that he did not mean to hut or insult anybody with the comparison, which he realizes could be misunderstood.
