Muslim cabinet minister Baroness Warsi today dramatically hit out at the 'small minority' of Pakistani men who see white girls as 'fair game' for sexual abuse.

In comments following the Rochdale grooming scandal involving nine Muslim men, the Conservative Party co-chairman admitted that race was a factor.

She urged Muslim leaders to address the issue and ensure that men who regard white women as 'third class citizens' are isolated by their communities.

In January 2011 the Times proclaimed a "conspiracy of silence" around groups of Pakistani men sexually exploiting white British girls. Political correctness and fear of appearing racist had trumped child protection, the paper claimed.

Soon the terms "Pakistani" and "Asian" were being conflated, much to the disgruntlement of other British Asians and a heated media debate ensued around the "Asian sex gang" problem.

A man was murdered in the early hours of Tuesday near Subotica in a fight that broke out between two groups of illegal immigrants from Afghanistan and Pakistan.

According to the newspaper's source with the Serbian police (MUP), both groups were hiding on a farm near the northern Serbian town when the Pakistanis attacked the Afghans.

After this, the Afghans reportedly decided to retaliate, with the incident resulting in the murder.

This has been the surprise finding of the Born in Bradford research project . It's a huge long-term study of 14,000 mothers and babies in the city, the largest ever undertaken in the UK. Half of the families in the project are Asian.

Samina Shah, who is now in her 40s and too frightened to reveal her real name, spoke out after revelations that Britain's Forced Marriage Unit had handled the case of another five-year-old girl last year.

Mrs Shah said she believed she was being dressed for her fifth birthday party on the day of the Islamic ceremony which effectively ended her childhood.

Four men have been arrested in connection with an investigation into an alleged suicide bomb plot in Birmingham.

The four men – three aged 19 and one aged 24 - are accused of raising funds for terrorism and travelling to Pakistan for terrorist training.

The men were arrested in connection with a “major counter-terrorism investigation” known as Operation Pitsford.

A high ranking officer in the Pakistani Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) agency was involved in planning a major terrorist attack against the Danish Jyllands-Posten newspaper, according to David Headley, a Pakistani-American who has admitted planning the terrorist attack in Mumbai in India in 2008.

Headley, who is currently in prison in Chicago, has further admitted that when he was arrested in November 2008 he was planning a new attack – this time against the Jyllands-Posten newspaper as a result of its publication of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed.

Headley was interrogated last summer by Indian intelligence officers. In a more than 100-page report that Politiken has obtained, Headley speaks in detail about a long list of meetings with Pakistani intelligence officers.

I think this is the first time that a European Muslim says radicalism and terrorism in the Muslim world should be dealt with since they reflect back on European Muslims. Or in other words, that Muslim terrorism is cause for 'Islamophobia'.

This is not the first time the Daily Mail brings up the issue, and accuses the authorities of fearing to act so as not to be branded as racists. But while the Daily Mail wants to focus on the fact that 95% of the people prosecuted for running 'sex gangs' were Asian, it barely speaks about the fact that 89% were also Muslim.

The article's page headline is "Police and Muslim leaders call for end to 'cultural cover-up' of sex gangs", but I could not find any reference to Muslim leaders in the article itself.

A Swedish businessman has been kidnapped in Pakistan after travelling to the country to get married, newspaper Expressen reported on its website on Saturday.

The 25-year-old disappeared after a walk in the city of Quetta on November 7th, the report said. One day later, the man's brother received a call from the kidnappers, who demanded a ransom for his release.

"He has now been sold to another criminal group. They are demanding a ransom of 5 million rupees (401,840 kronor, $58,205)," local police chief Ahmed Abidnotkhani told Expressen on Saturday.

The Daily Mail asks why nobody dares mention the word 'Asian' but 'Asians' is itself a euphemism for (Pakistani) Muslims, a word the Daily Mail tries to avoid. The reason the media is afraid to use 'Asian' is because people by now read right through it.

Sardar Mohammed Shamim Khan, 57, said Asif Ali Zardari's speech had incensed him so much that he spontaneously decided to unlace his size 10 leather shoes and hurl them at the bewildered Pakistani leader.
