Hague: Wilders hung from tree

The Wilders figure which was hung from a tree in the area of the Central Station in the Hague was not a threat directed at the PVV head, says the first year student of the Hague art academy who made it.

The police found the figure, which had a photo of Geert Wilders affixed on to it with a knife, on Tuesday. Fake blood was smeared around Wilders' photo. The police arrested four people.

Of student of the Royal Academy of Art says he wanted to respond to the position of Muslims. They are "in a manner of speaking, being hung from the highest tree," according to the student.

According to the maker, the photo of Wilders has nothing to do with the politician as a person, but symbolizes the movement he stands for.
