Danish prime minister Rasmussen announced yesterday that the national parliamentary elections will take place this coming November 13th.
The Danish People's Party has already gotten to the news with its election poster titled: "Freedom of expression is Danish, censorship isn't". The note at the bottom says: we adhere to Danish values.
The picture is based on one from a 1683 book about Islam by Alexander Ross.
The Danish Islamic Society said in reply that Pia Kjærsgaard just wants to provoke them and attract attention, but she's not worth it. Their policy is to ignore provocations from the Danish People's Party, according to spokesperson Kassem Ahmed.
Experts dismiss the idea that this picture would cause riots like the Mohammed Cartoon Affair.
