The Party for Freedom (PVV) thinks that the parliament restaurant should not serve halal food. The party is indignant that this happened this week and had sent a letter asking for explanation from the parliament administration.
A vegetable dish with halal kebab were served during lunch Wednesday. PVV parliament member Dion Grous thinks that's inappropriate, since the dish was gotten through a "very animal unfriendly and undignified slaughter method." More than that he says it's sad to see that "the Islamization of our country has also reached the menu of the parliament."
A spokesperson of the parliament presidency did not want to go into the issue, but said the letter would be discussed by the presidency.
