Immigrants from outside of Europe have been hardest hit by the latest recession, according to new research from the Linné University in Växjo.
68 percent of them are currently in employment, that's down six percentage points compared to two years ago. Immigrants from Europe have fared better, with 84 percent of them currently with a job, that's up one percentage point from 2008.
One reason for the poor figures, according to the researchers, is that many new refugees from Somalia and Iraq have found it especially hard to break into the Swedish job market.
