Netherlands: Moroccan teenager attacked for not wearing headscarf
Translated from Alphen Staf FM and Telegraaf:
A 16 year old student at Scala College in Alphen aan de Rijn was attacked in her school last Tuesday by a group of girls, according to a police report.
The group ambushed the girl in the school building, when there was no teacher around. The girls, fellow students, were angry that the girl, of Moroccan origin, wasn't wearing a headscarf. The attackers did wear headscarves. The attack came following a message posted by the victim on a social media site.
The victim sustained a concussion and bloody lip. She reported the matter to the police, and the police opened an investigation. The girl who beat the victim was suspended from school, according to the school management.
