Police arrested a 26 year old Pakistani Friday, by request of Spain. He is suspected there of membership in a terrorist organization and preparing an attack, said an Amsterdam public prosecution spokesperson.
The man had been arrested in the Netherlands in March for similar suspicions, but was later released due to lack of evidence. After his release he was handed over to the foreigner police, who placed him in detention until he could be deported.
The Spanish court put out a European arrest warrant on Wednesday. In total, eleven people are suspect of having planned attacks in the Spanish city of Barcelona and in various other European countries.
