Midfielder of the French national soccer team, Samir Nasri, explains that he doesn't intend to fast on Ramadan because "with the matches coming up, it's isn't good for the body," but he believes that Muslim professional athletes must remain free to fast or not.
Asked whether the fast is incompatible with sports he answered. "Each person, each body is different. With the pyshical snags that I had last year [ie, virus in the fall, ankle in the spring] I can't afford it."
