Denmark: DR to translate news
The Danish national broadcaster, Danmarks Radio, will from now bring the most important news in several languages on its site and text TV service, DR announced.
The Danish Library Center for Integration will provide translations to English, Turkish, Arabic, Bosnian, Urdu and Somali.
Nicolai Porsbo, head editor for DR, says that DR is for everybody and with these new services they are reaching out to people who are interested in following the news in Denmark but who often experience language as a barrier.
