Netherlands: Islam not the greatest threat

Christens view Islam with hostility more and more frequently, but the real danger is a tepid and halfhearted church, says missionary Hans Frinsel in the most recent edition of De Oogst, the magazine of the evangelical organization Tot Heil des Volks.

"I think that we shouldn't look in Islam for the great danger," writes Frinsel, "but in the Christian Church and Western society. [People] glorify sins and debauchery, and serve the idols of pleasure, sex, selfishness and wealth."

He says the church should form a powerful and radical counter-culture. A sick church has no answer to radical Islam and no appeal for seeking Muslims.
