A new book published by Ineke Strouken of the Dutch Center of Folklore lists the top 100 traditions in the Netherlands, based on a study in which 10,000 people were asked to list their top-ten favorite traditions.
The top five are: Sinterklaas, Christmas tree, Queen's Day, making doughnuts and other New Year's customs, and Easter.
