A girl (14) in Belgian Jemeppe-sur-Meuse had stabbed her father (45) to death last week. She did that when the man prayed in the living room. According to first reports, the girl wanted to end the abuse that she had been undergoing for months. Her father had threatened to marry her off in Algeria.
The family from Liege was not known as a problem case, but behind the doors, things were tough. The father, from Algeria, wanted to prevent his daughter having contact with boys, no matter what it cost. If he didn't trust something, he went wild. The mother, of Dutch origin, tried to stop her husband, but couldn't do much.
On Wednesday things went wrong again. The man beat his daughter with a piece of wood because he thought that she had called a friend. When the father finally calmed down, the girl fled to her room. Around dinnertime the man prayed on a rug in the living room. The daughter went to the kitchen, took two knives and stabbed the man in the back. The mother watched as events unfolded, but couldn't intervene on time. an older brother also appeared too late.
The youth judge must now decide what will happen with the girl. During interrogation she said she did not mean to kill her father, but rather cause him pain and make it clear that he should leave her alone.

This story surely makes me think of "Janie's Got A Gun".
You can say an eye for an eye will make the whole world blind. But you can also say that the police turn a blind eye to the centuries-old tradition of bullying women, in the name of political correctness. Peace is for the naive, the idealists, not for the realists. No amount of peace-mongering will get these pigs to stop. If the police are not going to take care of matters for us... We will have no choice but to take matters into our own hands...
