"Arn - the Knight Templar" (Arn - tempelriddaren) is a film soon to come out in Sweden, based on a popular book series by Jan Guillou.
The Arn film can give people in the West a better understanding of Islam, said Muslim imam Smajo Shaat in a discussion in the Skara cathedral last week.
Smajo Sahat thinks the west has a split attitude towards Islam. The west attempts to moderate the image of Islam when they say that all Muslims aren't terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims. And it is really hard to live as a Muslim in the west today, after everything that happened, says the imam.
Smajo Sahat believes that the film about Arn can contribute to showing what Islam and its culture give the West.
Jan Guillou says that one of his goals when writing the books was to show the similarities between Christianity and Islam, and he thinks there is a lot of evidence to that.

There is absolutely no similarity to Islam and Christianity. One is a death cult the preaches killing as it's highest duty.This death cult is filled with superstition, bizarre ritual, a dress code of irrational proportions, misogyny and pedophilia, slavery and racism. Christianity teaches love for such mentally ill cultists.
Efforts to identify and emphasize similarities between these belief systems are misguided - if not disingenuous. There are profound fundamental differences between Christianity and Islam. Attempts to gloss over those fundamental differences are an exercise in dishonesty. They are no more than attempt to obscure the truth. There is no equivalence.
For starters, Christianity is volitional. Nowhere in Christianity does one put his life in danger should they decide to leave the faith. There are no concepts of taqiya or the 'dhimmi' in Christianity. Nowhere are Christians blowing up ancient statues of Buddha, beheading schoolgirls, or marching in the streets because of some criticism or perceived slight. Christians condemn such violence. Muslims condone and enable it with their silence.
It's long past time to wake up to reality. Stop living your life based on wishful thinking. Look at the evidence. Snap out of your denial!
