Eleven Iraqis sentenced for crimes in Denmark will now be deported to Baghdad. This is the first time Denmark is sending back Iraqis to central Iraq.
In the upcoming weeks the eleven Iraqis will be sent on planes back home. They have all been deported for crimes and were denied residency in Denmark.
According to Hans-Viggo Jensen of the national police, the Iraqi authorities have agreed to accept them, and the deportations will take place within four weeks. The Iraqis have been sentenced for serious crimes such as murder, violence and drug trade.
