Morocco: Blacklisting European-Moroccans suspected of terrorism

A group of Moroccan citizens living in Europe have been barred from returning to their country because of their alleged links with the al-Qaeda.

According to a report on the Casablanca-based newspaper Assabah, the security services have come up with a blacklist of the names of 28 people living in Europe who have been accused of links with the terrorist network.

The list of names has been handed over to the customs authorities who have to deal with the hundreds of thousands of Moroccan immigrants returning home in August for their summer vacation.

The report said that 18 out of the 28 people are residents in Belgium and Spain.
