Belgium: Former Muslim leader held for embezzlement

The former president of the Muslim Executive, Mohammed Boulif has been held on charges of embezzlement.  During his interrogation he could not successfully explain the 33,000 euro purchase of computers with subsidies intended for the Muslim Executive.  None of the computers have been found by the Executive.

According to the Public Prosecution, the computers disappeared without a trace in 2005.  The purchase was done when Boulif was head of the Executive.  The investigators received no explanation for various money receipts of the Muslim Executive.  According to the Public Prosecution, in amounts of 60,000 to 100,000 euro.  Part of that money was spent on parties.
