The Danish Islamic Society has chosen two new spokespeople. Bettina Meisner (42), a school teacher and Danish Muslim convert, and Imran Shah, who is also chairman for the Muslim Youth in Denmark association (Muslimsk Ungdom i Danmark).
The organization's former spokesperson Kasem Said Ahmad, had resigned in March after being criticizend for taking part in a Hizb ut-Tahrir demonstration against the reprinting of the Muhammad cartoons.
