The chairman of the DPP's parliamentary group, Kristian Thulesen Dahlfyr, doesn't have a problem with the statement that they're anti-Muslims and he says that in many ways they are anti-Muslims. However, he rejected the idea that they are fanatics.
At the same time, he thinks it's unacceptable that the minister is already concluding that a hijab shouldn't be banned in court, against the government's signals.
The government has set up a committee to check what is happening in other countries, but the Liberal Party is already stating that judges should wear neutral clothing. According to Berlingske Tidende, the government's expectation is that this will be the final conclusion.
Thulesen Dahl says that the government should make it clear that the integration minister is not expressing the government's point of view.
Jesper Langballe, DPP spokesperson on church issues, said the minister was shallow and ignorant and that what he wrote was a good example of letting Islam sneak in the back door.
Birthe Rønn Hornbech's party was also unhappy with her. Søren Pind, Liberal Party spokesperson on foreign affairs, said that members of the government should be more loyal.
