Hague: Radical mosque gets monetary benefits

The radical mosque of imam Fawaz enjoys monetary benefits.

The As-Soennah mosque, where Theo van Gogh and Ayaan Hirsi Ali were loudly cursed, is regard by the tax authority as an 'institution for general benefit'.  Gifts to the As-Soennah foundation in the Hague are therefore deductible.  The mosque does not need to pay inheritance tax or gift tax for any inheritance or gifts it receives.

The PVV demanded today in parliament clarifications about the tax benefits for the mosque.  According to the AIVD intelligence service As-Soennah is a stronghold of the Salafist movement, which forms a possible threat to the democratic system.

PVV parliament member Hero Brinkman demands an immediate postponement of the fiscal privileges and wants that "all civil servants who contributed to this insanity will be immediately fired."

Last year the AIVD warned of the increasing influence of the Salafists, who strive to introduce sharia law in the Netherlands.
