Germany: New video threatens October attack

Last week German security forces arrested a German-Turkish citizen suspected of preparing bombs and posting al-Qaeda propaganda online.

----------

In a new video Islamic extremists threaten Germany with an attack in October. The video appeared Sunday on a militant-Islamic website that had published announcements and videos in the past of groups linked to al-Qaeda. The video threatens an attack on a Sunday in October. The potential targets named are Berlin, Bonn, Frankfurt and Hamburg, but other places might also be attacked. The video is about an hour long. In addition to the already familiar Chouka Jihad-brothers from Bonn, two new German Jihadists - Abu Askar and Abu Safiyaa - make propaganda for holy war against the 'infidels'. The video also shows battle scenes from the Pakistani border zone and daily life in the training camps of the IMU (Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan). The video also shows how small children are trained in Jihad: they hear sermons and learn to handle weapons. A number of these children are blond and possibly European.
