The exhibition "Istanbul. The city and the sultan" in the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam is attracting many Turkish visitors.
125,000 tickets were bought since the opening on Dec 15th. About 30% have Turkish background, according to the Nieuwe Kerk [though I am not sure how they know].
The exhibition offers a view into the past of the sultan of the Ottoman empire and offers more than 300 pieces from museums in Istanbul. Visitors can take a tour around 10 buildings in the Turkish city. The exhibition is open till April 15th.
