Via Sofia Echo:
The leadership of the Sofia mosque have said that the Muslim community in the city is so large that the capacity of the mosque simply does not allow for everyone to gather inside during Friday prayers, which means that it is necessary for the authorities to allow the construction of a second mosque.
In order to avoid future tension with other residents, and to prevent other rallies such as the one staged by Ataka members on May 20, they have also vowed to "reconsider" their current praying practices and prevent worshipers praying outside on the pavements so that they do not obstruct other Sofians from walking freely during prayer time.
They have also promised to turn down the sound of the loudspeakers to the "bare minimum", so that the sound does not disturb or annoy other people nearby.(source)
