During the qualifications match between Finnish team HJK Helsinki and Turkish team Beşiktaş, Kurdish supporters were attacked by angry Turkish supporters.
The match was held Thursday, August 26, in Helsinki, and many Kurdish supporters were present. The Kurdish supporters waved flags of the PKK and held posters of the imprisoned PKK leader, Abdullah Ocalan.
A group of angry Turkish supporters attacked them. Four Kurds were injured, and 15 Turkish supporters were arrested by the Finnish authorities. It's unclear whether any Turks were injured or whether any Kurds were arrested too.
