Milan: Mosque attacked

A rudimentary bomb was thrown at the Via Quaranta mosque and Islamic cultural center in Milan Saturday night. The bomb caused damage to the entrance area. This is the mosque of Abu Omar (Hassan Mustafa Osama Nasr).

The Italian security service DIGOS is investigating the attack.

Abdel Hamid Shaari, president of the Islamic Cultural Institute said this is the result of a racist and anti-Islamic campaign that's been going on for years. There have been other attacks recently against Muslim institutions and mosques.
