Belgium: Discussion about Islam leads to fight
Ronse (Belgium) residents Oussama Z. (20), Omar E.A. (34) and Abidloheid C. (21) appeared before a correctional court for intentionally berating and injuring a man in the Ronse station.
The reason for the violence was a discussion on the train about Islam. The victim asked an immigrant woman about her religious convictions. The woman felt threatened and called her brother.
The brother waited for the victim at the Ronse station, together with two friends. They attacked the man. The man was unable to work for a month.
The defense admitted that the violence was out of proportion. The accused hope to come out with community service.
