Switzerland: Are Swiss officials targeting Muslims?
Answer in short: No. Stephane Lathion has an interesting take on the 'Islamophobic' media. The media doesn't report when schools apply the law to Christian or Jewish children, thereby giving the impression that everybody is just focusing on Islam.

Do some of Switzerland’s officials make rules that discriminate against Muslims or is the media blowing a few incidents out of proportion? A minaret ban in the country gained international attention. Now, two smaller incidents have popped up—several Muslim families in the canton of Basel City were fined for keeping their children from mandatory swimming lessons and in St Gallen school’s are being advised to ban head coverings of all types, including veils. WRS’s Alex Helmick talks to Stephane Lathion, who heads a research group on Islam at Fribourg University and Saida Keller-Messahli, president of the Forum for a Progressive Islam.
