Copenhagen: Muslims riot on Eid al-Adha

Police used pepper spray Monday night to dispel up to 300 Muslim young people who caused disturbances outside Fisketorvet mall in downtown Copenhagen.

The youths had gathered at the shopping centre in connection with the celebration of the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Adha.

But several of those present got out of hand, according to police. Bicycles were thrown onto the nearby S-train tracks, shoppers at the mall were harassed and rocks were thrown at police who arrived on the scene.

Officers managed to split the group in two and drive them away from the mall. Five youths were eventually arrested as a result of the fracas.

I remembered a sentence from the movie Forrest Gump. Stupid is as stupid does. I did not get it until now. Islam is as Islam does

There have been several stories of rioting Muslim "youths" in Europe in the last few days, all coinciding with the end of Eid.
Maybe people in Europe will wake up now (ahem - if these stories are covered by the tv news, as I know the BBC in the UK have been avoiding them....) to what we have to look forward to in the future if something isn't done NOW.
It ain't gonna get better people - it's just gonna get a lot worse as their numbers increase.

"....Muslims riot...."

This is news?

What's your next report... "unemployment is high in Haiti" I suppose?

The only surprise is that they threw only rocks and bicycles rather than explosive devices.

Most organized religion is superstitious, cultish and divisive - but harmless to all who are smart enough not to join up.

However, one particular religion, founded by a caravan-raider who married a child, and spread only through invasion, and which still, wherever it is the dominant religion, stones homosexuals and adulterers and promotes honor killings, arranged marriages and holy war, while executing apostates, stands above the rest as a source of hate and violence.

Because Islam is a religion, etiquette requires us to give it the benefit of the doubt. It defies logic to suggest that that benefit has not been used up.

It is time to let go of the myth that violence committed in the name of a religion has nothing to do with the fact that that religion's founder was extremely violent, has nothing to do with the fact that the religion was spread only through violence, has nothing to do with the fact that the religion's holiest texts not only condone but preach such actions as the beheading of infidels.

It is time to stop pretending that the at-least-daily examples of Islamic violence, from "charities" sponsoring terrorist groups to rioters to hijackers to car-bombers to "honor-killers" are all aberrations.

It is time to stop ignoring the repression in almost every Muslim-majority country.

It is time to stop ignoring the fact that when those guilty of these atrocities quote the Qur'an and Hadiths in support of their actions, they're completely accurate.

If you cannot agree that Islam represented a regression in human thought in the 7th century when it originated, and it has not advanced since, then you're misinformed, dishonest or both.

By the way I'll take even money that the bicycles thrown didn't belong to the rioters.
